The Ruth is “strictly graded” as a PSA 6. Hmmmmm...........

Could they (the TPG) possibly be setting the table for the resubmission “money-minting” game eloquently described by Mr. Slo£te in another recent thread?

Much of the remaining collection, although impressive, looks like it will not be fodder for contemporary practitioners of cardboard medicine, if you get my drift.

As well as all the other caramels. Looks like a number of E90-1 from what I can tell, but given the St. Louis connection, I wonder how many E92 Nadja. Peter C can you fill us in some?

Just finished reading about this, it's not often early cards are kept for this long. Most of the time they had been trashed or forgotten. Many parents back in the 70s and 80s never asked and just cleaned up areas for space, great to hear this family at least kept them safe. Looks like some nice avg cards that collectors can afford.

A lot of these cards are eventually going to get cracked out and trimmed, and then resubmitted for grading. A lot of money is going to be made from this find.

I think that F & B Ruth is a beauty. Are you suggesting a bump to a 7? It's perfectly centered, and it has everything going for it. A "wow" card for sure. And although the T and E cards are worn, they are really deep in key players. What an amazing group of cards...not to mention the five Goudey Ruths.

Here's a cool thing about the collection, if you like numbers. We know that the 33G #144 Ruth is double-printed, and the other three poses are singles. Sure enough, this collection has two #144's and one each of the other three. That's perfect mathematical distribution!

They don't have one and the cost is way too high to make one for an issue like this. i think people would be shocke if they new the cost of a new holder to be made. it is crazy a lot more than you would guess.
