Do not have a Honus card in my collection and obviously wont be owning the T206 anytime soon. Would love thoughts on what people think is the second best card to own of the Flying Dutchman.
Thank you! |

I'm going to answer the question I want to answer, which is "What is the best Honus Wagner card other than the T206?" This is not his second best card in my opinion but his best card. http://sports.ha.com/itm/baseball/19...a/7116-79008.s

My favorite is the Philadelphia Caramel E95

For me, it's pretty much a toss-up between the E90-2 and E95.

Value wise the E107 has gotta be up there, but for affordable cards the E95 Wagner is a great looking card IMO.

E92 (throwing). Just look at that awesome background.
Edited to add: But if you like portraits, I have to agree with the E90-2 suggestion above. ![]() Last edited by vintagetoppsguy; 04-13-2016 at 01:53 PM. |

I always found it amazing that the card manufacturers seemed to always indicate Honus played for Pittsburg, when right on the front of his uniform it says Pittsburgh.

With enough money and opportunity the E107 would be my second cab off the rank.
Third choice would the one I decided on, combining scarcity, photographic accuracy, and rare pose.... [IMG] ![]() Last edited by 68Hawk; 04-14-2016 at 10:53 PM. |

My "next best" Wags.. and as close as I'll ever get to the best. I like most/all the other Wags portraits too (E90-2, M116 either background, E103, etc), and love E95 and the E90-1/E92/E105 throwing pose. Sweet cards everyone.

e107, and T216 Mino/VE
But as far as aesthetic appeal goes, I love the M116 pastel, and the M110 cabinets. |

W600 rookie; E107; Rose Postcard--take your pick! Personally, I'm quite satisfied with my 1909-1916 Max Stein--total of only 8 graded by SGC and PSA combined, and tremendous actual action pose.

e105 Mello Mint was my first Wagner , now I have added E95 and E98 since.
You don't see many Mello Wagners. You can't see mine either since its safely stored and the scan I have is on one of my 6 ![]()

So is that Honus chewing tobacco - or no? Twenty years ago when I bought a beat up example, I thought it was. Regardless it's an undervalued card. |
