Tomorrow is the 70th anniversary of the most unforgettable day in Baseball History. Pictures speak louder then words, so post yours...

I took this photo today of that same trophy at the hall of fame.
Also is there any way to find the whole version of the speech or is there just the small clips. Last edited by yanks12025; 07-03-2009 at 05:34 PM. |

Signed photo taken before his 2000th consecutive game. ("Mimmie," who the photo is inscribed to, was Pitzy Katz' daughter. Katz was an entertainer who used to often visit the Gehrigs after Lou's retirement to help cheer him. The Gehrig letters recently posted talk quite a bit about Katz.)

Any clue what this photo might be worth (minus the signature)? I am under the impression that it is a period copy of the original image. It's 8X10, on heavy matte stock. No markings on verso. Last edited by BillyCoxDodgers3B; 07-03-2009 at 08:38 PM. |

I've been trying to sell this NY Times with Gehrig's four homer day for a while now. Maybe one of you Gehrig guys would like it.
