Are there any other Yankees (Highlanders) in E98 - 30 card set besides Hal Chase? I am guessing Russ Ford but I don't have a card to confirm. Also, why is the Chase card so much more expensive than any of the others? here is an example of one I found on eBay and was taken back by the price; martyOgelvie nyyankeecards.com |

Here's a link to a gallery of the entire 30-card set, on oldcardboard.com (yes, Ford is a Yankee): |

Thanks for the link. It looks as though (19) Vaughn was also a Yankee (Highlander).
Is the Chase card short printed? there are some major HOFers in this set yet they book half of what the Chase card books for. Also, the Matty card (1) has a different type set (Font) than the others, at least it appears that way from the card scans on Old Cardboard.. martyOgelvie nyyankeecards.com |

I was looking at my Beckett Graded card magazine that arrived in the mail today and the Chase card is NOT LISTED! I know after looking in my SCD catalog that the Chase card has the highest value.. I think my SCD is a few years old.. perhaps 2005.. martyOgelvie nyyankeecards.com |

Highest priced cards in the E98 set, IMHO, are Cobb closely followed by Wagner which has been gaining steam, Young and Mack. Chase isn't even close. I'd say that Chase auction was an aberration. |

The Matty has always been a popular E98 pose as well. I think this is due both to aesthetics and the uniqueness of the pose, not to mention that it is Matty. |

arrrgh, doggone it Jim, I forgot about Matty! Sheesh. Yes he would definitely be at least 3rd and maybe 2nd depending on condition |
