As the only T206 cards I follow are Highlander/Yankee cards, I found this auction very odd. Ebay auction #230175095083. Sorry I do not know how to post a link. Am I missing something? |

I think this was just a case of two guys going after a card they know nothing about....not sure how you confuse this with the Boston variety..but even then this is wayyyy overpaying. |

At first I thought it was a case of mistaken card. But the card went $100+ of the overpriced Boston BIN versions on ebay. I can't figure it out. |

If its a board member maybe they know something I dont. There is nothing hidden here...no peidmont fact 42 or anything weird. Maybe he just really didn't want the other guy bidding the card up high to get it.... |

I realize that many of the T206 Yankee cards are undervalued. I beleive 4 of the top 10 T206's have Yankee "regular" cards. Elberfeld, Doyle, Demmitt and Kleinow. Are thier regular cards finally getting thier due? They don't come up as often as other commons. |

Whoever bought it paid way to much for a card that comes around about once a month. Now that the seller got this kind of money sure we will see a lot more real soon. Guess there is some new blood in the T206 market that has no clue. |

i am very good friends with the buyer of the Kleinow...obviously he needed the card, what surprises me is that there was someone else who was willing to pay a lot for it, as well...? |

Rich You missed this one, it looks as though you got a bit if a deal. It has amazed me how much these cards go for. I got mine in a lot so I didn't see a premium on mine bought a few years ago. |

during the summer I auctioned one off on eBay and only got about 200.00, this seems to happen often with T206 cards were there are a few people that would like to have the card at the same time. |

So is the N.Y version actually scarcer than the Boston? I see the Boston on ebay all the time, but rarely see the N.Y.. |

Though traditional valuations may not indicate that the Kleinow NY catching is tougher than the Boston variation, I think that the NY catching is the toughest of the 3. They come up for auction less frequently, and is extremely difficult to find in high grade. |
