Can anyone tell me what set the card from Mike Pugeda is from? I just picked up three cards from the set at a country auction, but I don't know what they are from. I am a very new collector, so forgive my ignorance. |

1911 Pinkerton. Some of the cards in the set have been cataloged with blank backs, postcard backs, or scorecard backs. |

I database didn't show a player by that name. I checked baseball-reference and there is no major leaguer with that last name. Do you have a scan of the cards that we can see? |

I found out that my "cards" are Pinkerton blank back postcards (without the nice gray border). They look like SGC 10's. I hope I didn't do too badly at $20.00 a piece. |

The checklist on these is incomplete and growing. |

Mike Pugeda is a person who posted on the board under the sept pick ups thread. He had a Cobb Pinkerton. |

Mike, good thing there isn't a Pugeda Pinkerton card. You'd probably be too old to post messages by now. |

I have a blank-backed postcard style Pinkerton of Babe Adams. I have read that these were reproduced in the 50's. Are there any defining characteristics that differentiate the period blank-backs from the newer issues? The jury is still out on the one that I own. |

I heard that information from the individual that I purchased the card from a year ago. I will post mine later this evening. |

That looks quite different from the ones I have, which are not glossy and the information box is white. Yours looks like a 2nd generation print. |
