Is it just me, or does the card bear no resemblance at all either to the Johnson portrait or to any other card depicting Johnson or photograph of Johnson? And for that matter I have always thought the same thing about the Eddie Collins, I see no resemblance at all to the player depicted on the T205 and other cards which do look like his photographs. |

I am particularly interested in locating the photos used to create the t206 HOF'er action shots, and I've never seen the one used for this card. The T206 Baker is another one that I'm surprised hasn't showed up yet. |

All from the 1961 Wrigley Exhibit set. The Tinker (portrait), Evers (portrait) and McGraw (glove on hip). |

Image looks similar to T3 as well. Interesting hand position there for big train. |

Johnson (also a handsome guy). Such a contrast between the "hands" and the portrait in the same set! |

This may be getting a bit off topic, but I think the difference b/t Johnson's T206 portrait and the T207 brown background card is much more pronounced than the difference b/t the two T206's. The T207 looks nothing at all like any other pictures of him. |

I might be biased but I have always loved the Johnson hands at chest card. I might be biased because my copy is high grade and is one of the most valuable cards in my collection, but I think it is really a beautiful card. I always liked it more than the portrait, though that has grown on me over the years. When I get home tonight I will compare the images. |

I continue to see no resemblance at all whether in terms of hair color, facial features, or anything else. That is NOT Johnson in my opinion. It would be interesting to know the origin of the card, but that is probably lost to history. |

I doubt I would recognize most photos that were used for that set, but if some of you want to send high-quality scans of the photos when you find them (not the cards yet), I will add a page to my site and start working on it. |

I agree with Jim B. I really like the hands at chest card - perhaps because it was the first T206 I ever purchased. I just recently won a Johnson Portrait card (which I have also always liked). It will be interesting to see if my feelings change once I get the portrait. |

i went portrait-less on the Johnson for almost 3 years, then in a matter of a few weeks I picked up 3. Too bad he has no real period caramel card. |

more scooped noose (like the one on the T3). There certainly are differences. Reddish- blond and dark brown hair certainly makes a world of difference. |

Different artists were used to create the cards in the t206 set. |
