T206 Prices

Can someone help me with prices on graded T206's. What do common cards graded SGC 50, 60, 70, 80, and 84 go for with common backs? The SGC online price guide has not changed for a couple years. Thanks for your help, Bill

sorry i dont have a numerical answer for you, i only keep track of hofers and rarities. your best bet would be to search completed ebay items and/or watch some ebay items.

...or are prices of graded T-206 cards just going through the roof these days? There was a thread a little while back with a Cy Young PSA 5 that went for over $1,000. And a Mathewson Portrait PSA 6 just went for over $1,600! That's crazy. I bought mine for under $800 just a few years ago -- has the demand really changed that much? Or are there just a few crazy bidders out there trying to complete the set and once they get done the prices will come down again? Makes me wonder whether I should be selling rather than buying.

no its not just you

t206s are doing fairly well, but matty, young and johnson portraits are selling like hot cakes. that matty 6 ended with a young 6 which sold for over $3,000. and johnson 5s have been fetching over 1000. i just bought an sgc 7 young for 2100 or 2200 a few months ago. figured i overpaid a little but would rather pay an extra couple hundred now then who knows how much later. nice young, matty, and johnson port dont seem to come up too often even though they arnt that rare. its harder to find a matty white cap or young bare hand i think. the buyer of the young and matty is the same guy, rsegs or something like that whom i noticed on some other t206 hof auctions.

when it comes to t206s, its always time to sell.

SGC 50: $35-$45
SGC 60: $50-$60
SGC 70: $70-$80
SGC 80: $100-$125
Anything higher I am not sure quite sure, I can't afford them. As has been mentioned T206s are hot, I am a bargain hunter and have not had much success lately and have had to raise my expectations for low end bids.
Xmas 2002 I sold a SGC 40 Bender for $50, SGC 30 HOFers are now going for that and 40's are going for around $80.

On ebay
SGC40 $45
SGC50 absolutely nothing
SGC60 nada
SGC70 Foster SL (will probably sell close to $100)
SGC80 you are dreaming in technicolor- zero available

For T206s eBay is a complete waste of time to look
at, many dealers have good stock at good prices
available. For example I picked up a T206 Speaker
from a great dealer, great service for $425. Same
card on eBay sold last week for $725.

More importantly, where other than ebay can you find graded T206s? Any specific dealers?
