WOW! If you select to sell a graded card, you get a new category of what company, Listed are PSA, GAI, SCD and other graders. UNBELIEVABLE! No SGC. Board Comments?? |

Get over it. If someone need's eBay's advice on what item or brand to buy, he needs more help that a change of categories. |

Another way to put it: Considering the population of PRO and AAA cards on eBay, perhaps the SGC advocate should rejoice, not lament, that eBay doesn't recommend SGC. |

I should also point out that the nature of these categories and the amount eBay is being paid by each grader is more than likely related. eBay ain't a charity, you know. |

as I understand it -- is that when Ebay went through the category process to refine grading categories by grader -- they were looking for a critical mass of 75 listings per grader to separately list that grader going forward. This is probably an iterative process in the future, and not necessarily related to a grader paying Ebay (not likely....). But I think SGC is listed for some of the MLB categories -- just not those where SGC cards are thinly traded (e.g. modern) |

While I don't doubt Mark's population remarks, I will bet that each of the eBay recommended graders pays eBay in some shape or form. eBay never does anything unless they beleive they can charge someone or otherwise get money out of it (Of course, that's what's businesses in general are supposed to do). |

Maybe then there will be fewer hits and bids on cards I want that are graded by SGC. |

For new board participants: ebay will do ANYTHING that will increase profit, and ethics do not matter in the least - if it makes money and they think they can get away with it, they will do it. |

Don't get so worried about the lack of an SGC listing under graded cards; there are so damn few of them anyway on ebay. While it might have the best product, apprently SGC is not very popular... |

Title says is all. Was posting some cards tonight and SGC and PSA were the two options under the PRE-1930's cards. No GAI though. |

eBay is eBay. But what I find particularly loathesome is that (as far as I know) magazines like Beckett don't have reports on AAA and PRO. Aren't these publications supposed to be advocates of the collector? To me, at least, I find this quite simply disgusting. |
