Default Rabbit Hole AH

Got Leon’s email about this new AH and advertiser. Cool to see a new entrant in the field. Anyone know who’s behind this new venture? A board member?

Good luck to them. Auction looks like an interesting mix and very professional looking.

Best of luck to the auctioneers. One big question about the feature lot in the auction, the 300+ T206s.

I was looking at the pictures for the lot and was intrigued. Then upon reading further, noticed this comment in the description: "Please note that the 30+ Hall of Fame cards, plus a few others, pictured will not be included."

You really shouldn't have a lot picturing cards that are not part of the lot. Especially the "plus a few others" doesn't even give a sense of which cards are in or not. Like, I see commons with Hindu backs - are those in or not??

Hopefully just growing pains which will get smoothed out in future auctions, but buyers certainly need more clarity around a listing.....

Is it out of fashion for people to use their actual names?

That has been a complaint about sports card advertisers since the 1980s. 40 years later, we are still complaining about not knowing the people real names when they have a company name.

I mean...

There could be a hole in there?

Or maybe just an AH?

Rabbit hole, why would you include pictures of cards that are not in the lot?!

Default Rabbit Hole Auctions Founder Additional Context

Hello again, All. Totally appreciate and respect the commentary about getting to know the person/people behind the scenes at a new Auction House. I too believe that earning trust, being authentic, transparent and accessible are all extremely important!

My name is Justin Hirsch, and I am the Founder of Rabbit Hole Auctions. I have a small team, a couple of Vintage Advisors and a fantastic network throughout The Hobby! I've been a sports card collector since 1982 https://sportscollectorsdigest.com/n...l-collectibles, fell in love with Auctions at a very young age, and have a huge passion for vintage cards and memorabilia.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Indiana University in 1996. I'm currently the CEO of Jobplex, an executive recruiting firm based in Chicago https://www.linkedin.com/in/justinhirsch/. I have been leading Jobplex since 2010, have scaled the HR Executive Search Practice and drove the evolution of the firm’s structure and brand throughout the U.S., Canada, LATAM and Europe.

I launched Rabbit Hole Auctions as a means for collectors to access affordable vintage cards, rarities, artifacts and oddball items via a boutique Auction House experience https://rabbitholeauctions.com/about/. Our name is a nod to how deep the rabbit hole of collecting can go!

What I love most about The Hobby is the thrill of the hunt and finding unique pieces that have a great story behind them https://www.instagram.com/rabbitholecards/. I'm looking forward to learning from all of you, sharing my own experiences, and helping to preserve the rich history of the vintage collectibles world. I'm especially interested in discussing vintage baseball cards and hearing what has everyone intrigued/interested/captivated now. I am a call/text 773.330.0404 or an email info@rabbitholeauctions.com away at any time!

Please peruse the Lots of our Inaugural. Happy and grateful to be here and would love to have you onboard!
