SOLD Bicentennial Baseball Part 1 — ‘76 O-Pee-Chee Complete Set
Hard to believe this set is almost 50 years old now. I found this to be much tougher to put together in solid condition than I thought going in.
I believe this set is Ex on average. It exhibits the typical centering and fuzzy cut edges on some cards that you often see with OPC sets, but even those present sharp and fresh in hand. The surfaces all appear to be bright. Just a solid mid-to-upper mid grade set.
IMPORTANT: The Ryan and B. Robinson are just not good at all. They are fillers. The Eckersley RC presents ok for the most part, but there is damage in its lower quadrant. The Hendricks and Stanley cards have writing on front as shown. These are the only absolutely have-to-replace cards that I saw when I went back through it
If anything, the HoF/Star/RCs that are all pictured separately are nicer on average than the commons. That is somewhat unusual when trying to build a set like this.
Set is in Ultra-pro hologram sheets and will be shipped that way. The stars/HoFers shown will be placed in individual card savers.
Tried to price it below recent comps that I could find…and frankly this set presents nicer than those. It was assembled with some care…notwithstanding the crappy Ryan…I just don’t have an excuse for that one.
Asking $800/obo shipped, net PayPal. Thanks for looking
