FS: A few Nice type 1 Photos. Sisler, Alexander,Gilliam,Hornsby,McCarthy.Prices Lower
Have a nice group of original photos and an original Burke for sale.
Prices are no fee method only. Please add $5 for shipping. Takes will trump any ongoing negotiations. I’m always up to trade for snapshots or vintage baseball hofer cards (pre 1970). Alexander- $SOLD Seen here in 1928. I believe this may have been taken by Conlon, though I'm not certain. Photo has a small tear in the right border as seen. Sisler- $150 Shown in great focus here In 1929, warming up his arm in spring training. Gilliam- $SOLD This is an incredible shot of Gilliam, some of the best clarity I've ever seen on a '50s shot. When I got the photo I took a closer look at it and it looked like it was possibly taken during the Dodgers tour of Hawaii/Japan in 1956. However I found a sale on Rmy claiming it to be taken in Cuba in 1951-52 being a pre rookie for Jim. The photo is a Collins Original so I'm leaning to it being shot in Hawaii as that's where he was based. But I'm not certain. Either way a fantastic shot. McCarthy- $150 A George Burke original portrait of the great McCarthy. Has a light crease that doesn't show up very much at all on the front. And some minor paper loss.
