Default Many, many Low grade T206 for sale incl HOFers

UPDATE 2/19/21 NOT FIELDING ANY MORE INQUIRIES AT THIS TIME. I MAY REGROUP AND FIGURE A BETTER WAY TO DO THIS DOWN THE ROAD. SEE NEW POST AT BOTTOM FOR MORE INFO.

I have been collecting all back versions of each card but have recently decided to sell off the extra backs. My have page is below. Example: I have three Abbatichio (brown sleeves), so two are available and you can see the backs if that makes a dif to you.

LMK what you need and LMK what your minimum condition requirements are. Keep in mind these are going to be low grade ranging from very trashed to Good. Some present quite well but have writing.

Replies by email are preferred. Also to speed things along, you might indicate an approx price you are willing to pay for the various grades:

Very very poor
Poor
Fair
Good

TIA,
Chuck

You got that right!

I'm going to have to update that original post..."sell off" was a very very poor choice of words. I just figured I didn't need 1162 (with 20 more arriving today) dif cards and it would be both fun and profitable to make a few sales given the market. I understand the market is good, right?

At this point I've only been able to skim the emails. Sorry but PMs are at the bottom of the list. Here's my email if you want to convert your PM ...

chuckparis@comcast.net

PS You can move to the top of the list if you are willing to provide info on your buying range from very, very poor to Good+

PPS (or PSS?)...I hope I don't piss anyone off by starting this whole thing!

Chuck

Did I mention that I'm a tax accountant and this is the worst time of year for me to have started down this road. I guess my adrenaline was jacked up last night at 1am when I sent the post.

Did I mention that the PM system bugs the crap out of me? Are there advantages? I guess I should have made that clear and made my email easier to find.

So I've gotten about 35 inquiries and have been able to give a general reply to ten of them. Some just to point out that the inquiry was about a card that I don't have two of. I think that I did point that out to those who had asked but if you don't here from me at all I apologize and that may ne why.

Did I mention that pics via my phone are currently the only way I have of sending images? I may be able to get my wife to show me how to use her scanner this weekend. She's a tax accountant too though...argh.

There have been alot of inquiries on rarer backs...ABs especially. One of the first things I'm going to do is see if I can part with any of them at all. If you asked about them I'll try to get back to you today.

At least its been nice getting to know a few of you better. Again, hope you don't get perturbed if I've wasted your time.

My website got shut down....apparently because of too much traffic. I use 000webhost.... is anyone familiar with that problem?

At lease its giving me a breather to catch up but I also have issues knowing what's in my collection as a result.

I'll post again when its up.

I'm pretty sure I'm one of those folks, and no worries. =) I got excited and thought that what you posted *was* your list of extras, but that's what adrenaline does. I'll just keep hunting for that elusive #520 - congrats on already being there, and good luck with your sales!

I have spoken with Chuck and he is genuinely overwhelmed with other (more important) things going on in life right now.

I was the second person that messaged him originally and I was very specific on the exact card I wanted and price in my initial message. That is why I even got a response. Even still, I just got my card a few days ago.

He was trying to sort through the requests in order...so it is very possible that he is responding on a person-by-person basis...and probably can’t handle multiple sales at the moment. I don’t think he is picking-and-choosing, nor do I think he is holding out for a better sale.

Having said that, he was a pleasure to work with and super kind and considerate. At the same time, he was extremely apologetic and genuinely feels bad about the situation.

This is just a reminder that Chuck really doesn’t owe us anything. He simply shared his collection with us and mentioned that he is selling dupes. All we can worry about is reaching out to him with an inquiry about a sale...and patiently wait.

If it is too much trouble to wait, simply pretend this thread never existed and move on

Poor Chuck.
I would not want to be a CPA in February.

Maybe lesson learned is to post 10-20 cards at a time on B/S/T ... not all 1,000+ T206s in one's possession

Very fair post. It doesn't help with this feeding frenzy of a market right now.

Here's the latest....my apologies for my lack of communication with many of you. Again, my apologies for getting off to a poor start with a poorly written OP.

If you inquired about cards that I didn't have duplicates of in the first place I may not have replied to point that out. I did to some; not to everyone though.

If you sent me a PM I prob did not reply at all. Looking back I did not make that clear either.

I have wrapped up quite a few sales and there are a couple in various stages of pending.

I'm not fielding any new inquiries at this time. Have at me !

Thanks, dabroiler. I had lengthy correspondence with Chuck via email. We probably exchanged about 16 emails discussing the cards, the parameters, etc. as dabroiler wrote: Chuck is going in order of emails received. I was thankful tonyo shot me a message regarding the cards (I indicated previously that I desired) that were on the list early in the morning.

Chuck was patient with me as I looked to put my offer together.
