I am working on wrapping up my research on the 1977 Hostess "Twinkies" set. These are the cards with the black bars that came in single serving cakes. Not the ones in panels of three on the boxes.
I'm hoping to hear stories from collectors who remember buying those cards when they were issued. Particularly memories of what products they were and what part of the country they were in. How the cards were distributed is a key point in understanding them. Most people have the Twinkies and Cupcake version so there's no mystery there. However, if you remember buying Ho Hos or Ding Dongs, SnoBalls or Crumb Cakes in individual packages I want to hear from you. So, please, if you have any memories of buying single serving Hostess products in 1977 please let me know. Thanks. |
