A bit out of my typical posts (and knowledge) but I have an opportunity to purchase a fresh to the hobby, raw, early ‘50s collection. The best card is the ‘53 stahl-Meyer Mantle.
Id want to sell this card privately as it doesn’t fit my collecting focus. Hard to say exactly but it’s pretty beat up - although not completely trashed so figure around a “Fair”. How realistic is it to sell a card like this NOT at auction? Could it fetch historical (eg $2k or so) pricing in a private sale? Thoughts or inquiries are most welcome ... but I do want to be clear that I haven’t purchased it... yet ![]() Best Scott |
