Christy Mathewson Biography
I'm looking to read a good biography on Christy Mathewson. It looks like the most prominent ones online are Michael Hartley's book, which only has about 200 pages of text, and Philip Seib's book, which is similarly short.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm looking for a deep dive into his background, etc. Thanks, Mike

"Matty: An American Hero" by Ray Robinson was pretty good, though I read it a long time ago.
Though not an autobiography, Mathewson's own book "Pitching in a Pinch, or Baseball from the Inside" includes many anecdotes from his playing days. "The Old Ball Game: How John McGraw, Christy Mathewson, and the New York Giants Created Modern Baseball" by Frank Deford is also a good Mathewson read, though not strictly a biography.
