Default 1911 Signed M101-2 Jimmy Archer Dr. Steen Collection died 1958

Please note that this item currently resides in a Beckett slab with authentication from JSA. There is also a full PSA DNA LOA that will come with it as well.

Archer was a defensive specialist and in some years an adequate hitting catcher, mostly for the Chicago Cubs. He also played for the Tigers, Pirates, Dodgers and Reds.

This is without question the boldest signed M101-2 from the Dr. Steen collection, and also one of the best looking.

Due to his pre-1960 date of death, this is likely the only signed "card" of Archer in existence. Signed prewar cards are about as hot as anything on the planet at the moment. Signed M101-2's from the Dr. Steen collection are always in very high demand.

Asking $550 delivered.

Man these are cool. If I didn't just spend stupid money at Christie's I would make an offer.
