| Need Help With an old Draper & Maynard Glove

Picked this one up at a flea market about a year back. Glove is in really good shape, leather is supple, inner lining has some wear but I swear you could still have a catch with this one... My neighbor asked me today if I would be interested in parting with it, so I started researchin it and found a similar glove with an estimated production date of 1910-1912... There are some faint markings on the heal but i can barely make them out... In any case, I was hoping to get some opinions on age and value... Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance, Dave |

It is from the 1920's based on the web style. Maybe 40.00-60.00 since the stampings are worn. Mike

Based on the fact that the stampings are worn and the lining looks that rough, I don't see it being more than a 75.00 glove on a good day. The market has come way way down on gloves. Mike

I would agree with Mike on this one.... value is definitely under $100, unless there is a desirable HOF Player endorsement that you haven't disclosed. If it had a "sewn" web in this condition, it would be more desirable/valuable, and probably worth $150 - $200. This type is just a lot more common. Still a nice display piece. I think a $75 price for your neighbor sounds like a win-win. You get a good price + easy sale. He gets a nice display glove with no shipping charge or buyer's premium.
