Everyone enjoys the opportunity to share their collection, so let's see 'em...what are your favorite or most significant pieces in your collection?
Please limit 4 pieces per person.

Can't wait to see what everyone posts...
I need to do some scanning, and take a picture. My two favorite items are my 54 Topps set and my framed Harmon Killebrew collection of all his cards displayed in my house. Here is the "Big 3" Rookies from my 54s... ![]() Outside of set collecting, I also collect Mantle's like most here, although mostly raw and only a couple left of his base cards. Here is my favorite, the 57. Researching my 52 Topps purchase daily, can't wait to post that... ![]()

Jeff, that's an amazing Aaron. It is certainly one of the nicer examples I have seen. I own one as well but mine is no where near as pretty as yours.
I have very little focus and an extremely eclectic approach to collecting. As a result I find it difficult to contribute to these types of threads. My baseball collection is all over the place. I collect autographs, original photos, game used items, stadium pieces, baseball advertising, pre-war/post war cards, and memorabilia. Although I have quite a few cards, if limited to four selections, my favorite items (cornerstones) would not likely be cards. It would be easier to identify my four favorite items from each genre. Otherwise such a task is like asking me to pick my favorite child. |

Since I am a set collector I really don't have just one card to show....but I appreciate seeing all of the cards guys.
Patrick I have always enjoyed the '56 Topps Mantle. Did you ever notice the guy in the suit appear on the front of the card twice? The background was duplicated when they made the card. I also believe the ball was moved as well. Nice cards... |

The cornerstones of my postwar baseball cards are sentimental rather than valuable. I would not say that they will pry them from my cold, dead fingers, but would say that a market value offer would not be close to what it would take for me to sell them.
I pulled this from a pack in 1976. It survived moves around the country, an earthquake and nearly 40 years of life with me: ![]() This is the first vintage card I ever owned. I cannot recall the specifics of its acquisition; I think I got it in an antique store or in a trade around 1974 or 1975. Regardless, I have had it seemingly forever: ![]() Got these two in an auction at a meeting of the West Coast Card Club around 1979. I had them encapsulated with the goal of selling but could not bring myself to do it: ![]() ![]()

I don't have any high end cards in my collection, but I do have favorites. And these four fit the point of this thread.
My Kaline RC is the cornerstone of my current post war collection. And then my 59 Mantle would be my favorite Mantle in my collection. I really love the 1968 Atlantic Oil set so I picked my Clemente from that set. And lastly would be my signed 1970 Aaron. I've had that card as long as I can remember. Thanks, AndyH .

The gray back Williams variation appears to have a thinner sliver of color which I've only been able to find in a blue/gray color like this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1956-TOPPS-B...item27d316ae4e

Many of the 1956 cards have those variant color line differences. I first started noticing them after reading about them in Dick Gilkeson's publication on variations. I picked up a couple of examples for my set but do not know if a full list of all the differences exists
