No, I didn't buy it, but I had fun watching this item:

Would others have seen this if the seller correctly spelled "Honus"?

I don't know. Do you search by way of "Honus?" I know if I looked, I would have looked under Wagner.

Quite a few people found it. I don't think the misspelling hurt it too much (if at all).

What I noticed was the person who wrote it, asked if Anna could pick "him" out of the bunch?" Now, perhaps the sender was just being coy, but perhaps it was sent from one of the players or Mgr's ?? It was addressed to Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania... Anyone know of any relatives or family of any of the players in that area ? Also, there is some interesting initials at the bottom of the back of the pc that I can't make out...
Great PC by the way... I never saw it - Thanks Brian for bringing it to life on N54

Slippery Rock is north of Pittsburgh. Relatives are/were a possibility.

The Honis is nice but the Dreyfuss is the sleeper on the card, IMO. There's lots of Wagner stuff but not all that much career contemporary cardboard for Dreyfuss.

The initials at the bottom could be for State Route.

So much for bargain prices on e-bay for postcards, this one would probably have sold for about the same through an auction house, unlike the Frank Baker from a few weeks ago.

Guess we need to name everyone on the PC and find the connection to Anna Greer. Or match the handwriting.
I was watching this too and hoping for the misspelled name to keep the price low. |
