In looking at the preview images, I noticed that the printer's scrap McGraw has part of four Piedmont backs. One cannot be identified, two are 350-460 subjects, but the bottom left looks to be either a 150 series design or has paper loss over the "3" yet aligns perfectly with the remaining three "backs". It also has no staining/ink just over the first number. My initial reaction is that part of the card might have been rebuilt but may also be surface paper loss; any thoughts?
I saw the card at the T206 resource site, btw. Judson Last edited by judsonhamlin; 03-22-2012 at 05:00 PM. Reason: Reexamined card at higher res; still not clear |
