Interesting title for this book! Not sure that some of those early Highlander teams could have ever been considered even potentiall great! But the Yanks did turn it around in a hurry. |

Jeff- The reason the Yanks turned it around so quickly was they raped the Boston Red Sox of so many of their stars. The Bosox never recovered for many, many years.... |

I actually bought this book on Bruce's suggestion and am in the middle of it. It's really a treasure trove of deadball era info and a fun read. Very well-researched with great pics. I've learned a lot thus far. Definitely a book to read and have in your collection. |

Got my copy from Amazon today. Gave it a good once over and liked what I saw. It'll be a great bedside book: short chapters, loads of great pictures, and a great array of anecdotes of the deadball Yanks. |

Thanks for your kind words and posting a great scan of the cover. I'm trying to arrange book signings with the help of McFarland in the Tampa, FL. area - as well as in NYC when I visit Manhattan in early July. |
