Matt, I don't want to speak for Dan, but I'd say it's the white around the edges of the card. Barry is correct about the scan. That scan has had some high contrast and/or other process (from an image editing or scanner program) which accounts for the darkness of the image but also heightens the difference between dark and light tones. Ergo, if the edges aren't supposed to be light in an unaltered card then it wouldn't be very apparent to us -- but not only ARE they white, but the problem is being heightened for us, inadvertantly, by the seller (hope this makes sense.) |
