Posted By: Fred C
Eric,

The scan is grainy but that doesn't mean it's not real. It's trimmed and my guess skinned.

Posted By: Matt
dan - "white around the edges" do you mean the border, or the thin line that looks like a rebacking job?

Posted By: Paul S
Matt, I don't want to speak for Dan, but I'd say it's the white around the edges of the card. Barry is correct about the scan. That scan has had some high contrast and/or other process (from an image editing or scanner program) which accounts for the darkness of the image but also heightens the difference between dark and light tones. Ergo, if the edges aren't supposed to be light in an unaltered card then it wouldn't be very apparent to us -- but not only ARE they white, but the problem is being heightened for us, inadvertantly, by the seller (hope this makes sense.)

Posted By: Frank Wakefield
Maybe not so much rebacking...

But rather that the card front isn't genuine in the first place.

Someone could take a good photo or scan, then paste that to a cardboard back. Thank might be what this is.

Have you hit it with black light?? A fellow can't really be going around without a blacklight in his pocket, don't you know...
