Posted By: jeremy i was wondering if anyone could tell me the best thing to do with a photograph that i found in a cottage on the property that i recently bought---its a knickerbocker team photo from 1862---is it ok to bring it to an auction house if they have a good reputation? |

Posted By: barrysloate Jeremy- that would be more than a lucky find- that would be a lottery ticket. You might want to first make sure it is a period photograph. If you could scan it we can help. |

Posted By: jeremy ive already spoke to robert lifson from robert edward auctions and he advised me not to show copiesd because this thin needs to be "unveiled"---im sure its an original picture because i showed it to an antique dealer-----it turns out that the house i bought used to belong to walter avery one of the knickerbockers-----i want to know if rea is a good place to bring this thing |

Posted By: barrysloate The 1862 Knickerbockers were not a strong club. They were just famous because they were the first to organize. Is this photograph a panoramic? Approximately what size is it? |
