Posted By: <b>jeremy</b><p>i was wondering if anyone could tell me the best thing to do with a photograph that i found in a cottage on the property that i recently bought---its a knickerbocker team photo from 1862---is it ok to bring it to an auction house if they have a good reputation?

Posted By: <b>jeremy</b><p>ive already spoke to robert lifson from robert edward auctions and he advised me not to show copiesd because this thin needs to be "unveiled"---im sure its an original picture because i showed it to an antique dealer-----it turns out that the house i bought used to belong to walter avery one of the knickerbockers-----i want to know if rea is a good place to bring this thing

Posted By: <b>Jimmy Leiderman</b><p>Sounds cool.<br /><br />Don't remember seeing a Knickerbocker team photograph other than the knicks-excelsior '58 example.<br /><br />The Knickerbocker club still played in '62 so it's a possibility.<br />Not sure if any original members were still playing that year.<br />I think Harry Wright played with them until '59, but need to check on that.<br />
