AMERICAN BEAUTY 350 (frame) cards. Let's have some fun showing & talking about them
During the printing of the 350-only Series of the T206 set, American Lithographic included a stylistically framed American Beauty 350 Tobacco advertisement
on the backs of 190 subjects in this Series. And approx. 23 subjects in the 350-only Series were not printed with the ABF back. Why is this so ? Perhaps, these 23 guys retired (or were traded) during the period of the 350-only Series press runs (Spring / Summer 1910). Furthermore, the majority of these AB 350 cards are narrower than the standard T206's, such as Gabby Street shown here. On the other hand, this Davy Jones card (ABF back) is the standard T206 width.
