OT: Babe Ruth Quote Attribution Help Needed
I am hoping someone can steer me in the right direction, or possibly even answer my question. Babe Ruth is quoted as having said that he would give a year of his life if he could homer in the first ever game at Yankee Stadium. He supposedly said this to either a reporter or a group of reporters on the field before the game.
My question is if there is a particular writer to whom the quote can be traced back to. If so, who was that reporter? Is there any good way to find this info? Sorry for the off topic post. Hopefully someone can point me on course. Tom C
