Ed Summers' MLB career ended with Detroit in 1912.
Shown here is a 1914 COUPON (T213-2) card depicting Summers with the Brooklyn Tip Tops of the Federal League. Definitely a No-No......Summers never pitched for this Brooklyn team. However, Rudy Sommers was a pitcher for the Brooklyn Tip Tops in 1914. My guess is that American Lithographic mistook Summers for Sommers ? ?
