Can you name the Major League batter with 7000(or more) AB's who holds the record for the least number of K's in his career ?

This is one that I know. I don't remember how many it was, but Joe Sewell had insanely low number of k's. He had <10 k's in most of his seasons. As an Astros fan, it's not uncommon to see a guy strike out 10 times in four games.

There are ZERO active players with more than 5,000 at bats and an average of less than 10 strikeouts per 100 ab's. Three hundred and thirty two players have finished their careers with a less than 10 ratio.

I'm pretty sure it's Placido Polanco. Totally guessed but he has 7887 PA and only 538 K's good for about a 68%

You have the ratio inverted and you're putting the decimal in the wrong place.

Correct .. 7887/538= one strikeout every 14.7 plate appearance

538 / 7887 = .0682 which means he strikes out 6.8% of his plate appearances.
