Why are there no T206's showing a player and the "Tricky Hit"?
After all, by 1909, it had been almost 50 years since Dickey Piece first squared around to bunt. Conflicting reports mention that McGraw, Jennings and Rube Foster were the players to bring it into play. With the recent thread on aesthetics it appears that ALC employed not only a few artists but a small army to do the artwork. It is telling by the cards whereas some are very creative while others are quite bland. I am interested to see old artwork from that era in regards to the tricky hit. Craig |
