New and Hello
Hello all,
I've really enjoyed the site from afar so decided to join. The knowledge here is intimidating but maybe I can contribute from time to time. I started collecting with my dad ( who amassed quite a collection and reputation) in the mid 70s. great and exciting times in the hobby, we had a blast. I trickled off in the 90's but despite a huge sell off to Rosen, dad kept to what he was ...a true collector. I recently lost him so I'm ready to keep carrying the vintage card torch. My collection and knowledge is modest but I'm excited to be part of the forum. I do have one thing I'm proud of.... an entry in The Standard Catalog of Vintage Baseball Cards. After 33 years my dad never told a soul for fear of legal issues,haha. But... He (95%) and 16 year old me (5%) created the 1979 Baseball Favorites 1953 Bowman Extension set back in the day. We had a blast putting that together...a dad and his son.... Looking forward to posting . Thanks guys

Welcome aboard! I'm looking forward to your comments and insights. Sorry about the loss of your dad........Sounds like you have some very fond memories of time well spent with him.
