New and Hello
 

Hello all,
I've really enjoyed the site from afar so decided to join. The knowledge here is intimidating but maybe I can contribute from time to time. I started collecting with my dad ( who amassed quite a collection and reputation) in the mid 70s. great and exciting times in the hobby, we had a blast. I trickled off in the 90's but despite a huge sell off to Rosen, dad kept to what he was ...a true collector. I recently lost him so I'm ready to keep carrying the vintage card torch. My collection and knowledge is modest but I'm excited to be part of the forum. I do have one thing I'm proud of.... an entry in The Standard Catalog of Vintage Baseball Cards. After 33 years my dad never told a soul for fear of legal issues,haha. But... He (95%) and 16 year old me (5%) created the 1979 Baseball Favorites 1953 Bowman Extension set back in the day. We had a blast putting that together...a dad and his son....
