Autograph Crime Does Not Pay
It seems that bad guys are getting caught with more frequency by law enforcement. An autograph forger/ebay scammer gets a long time with Bubba.

I can see that PayPal buyer's protection works real well...
"According to prosecutors, Shryock defrauded his victims out of almost $175,000. eBay and PayPal lost $2,512 as the result of reimbursing customers for claims regarding fraudulent transactions and failure to provide merchandise."

Paypal buyer protection worked very well for me in the one instance I had to use it. Took a bit of time and some effort on my end but I did get a complete refund of my payment to a scammer.

From personal experience, as both a buyer and seller for a number of years, the Buyer Protection coverage works very well for the buyer, whether it's an honest claim or not. The Seller Protection coverage, not so much. Bias in eBay claims is strongly weighted in the buyer's favor 99% of the time.
