Does anyone consider the '33 Goudey Tris Speaker to be a minor league card, since he is depicted as part-owner/manager of the Kansas City Blues? If so, I would add that one (assuming pre-WWII, not WWI).

The 1904 Buffalo Bisons team card. They were the Eastern League Champions in 1904....the year the World
Series was not played in the Major Leagues.

This "unique" card was a "walk-in" at the Cooperstown Show in the early 1990's. I traded a bunch of 1950's
cards for it.

Nice additions on the Pebble Beach cards, they are great. Disappointed I forgot about the T4 Obak, and disappointed that Leon brought up the e221 Weaver.

We also forgot the Gilmartin Weaver.

Excuse my ignorance, but why? Is it rare, great pose, etc.? Is a scan available? One other question, what is the criteria for the list? Price, asthetics, rarity?

Bohen is the biggest stumbling block to completing the 1911 Zeenut set, which is being pursued by several board members. So in that instance it would be a question of scarcity and price, though there are obviously much more expensive cards that have been listed in this thread.

Tony, in regard to the 1911 Zee Bohen card there is only either one and a half or two and a half known to exist (at least that is my understanding). The half that I am talking about is a copy of the card that was trimmed around the players image (die-cut) that Lew sold a few years back. It is essentially an impossible card and I could only speculate what one would sell for should one come up for sale (a whole one that is).

In specific regards as to scarcity of the 1911 Zeenut Bohen card, Mark M. hinted a while back on this board that there are plenty of PCL collectors out there (and he would have the knowledge) with extensive collections of Zeenuts that either choose not to participate on the board or never visit. The Bohen is scarce, but I have a feeling that there are more than just a handful of them out there somewhere.

I think Mr. Macrae went a little farther with his comments regarding the Bohen. Here is his response to my post about the existence of the Bohen. Guess he told me.

"Steve,
Not to browbeat the point, or you, but the Bohen full card exists in a handfull or two Zeenut collections. The trimmed 'marionette' version that Lipset offered several years ago had no nameplate, so a complete example had to exist with which to compare the marionette. Collectors would not have known how the caption read (which is the most important part of Zeenuts). There are a number of advanced collectors that do not read this board, post scans, or 'brag' about their collections. If you really want an image, contact the California Historical Society on Mission Street in San Francisco. They have one in their collection (top trimmed, but identifiable) that they can photograph for you. It usually takes 6-8 weeks and they will charge you about $50 for the service... Mark"
