Some plastics have PVC's which over time will damage paper. The most inert plastic, and the safest, is mylar. |

The last couple of cards I broke out of PSA holders had the card laying atop the sleeve, not IN the sleeve. The last SGC holder I broke had no sleeve at all. Maybe those guys should use the sleeves to preserve the card. |

The U.S. gov't allows a certain % of plastic "leeching" in food and drink packaging too. Bottled water is one big culprit. Next time you run your blacklight over a card to check for counterfeiting/altering, run it over yourself and see if you fluoresce too! |
