It appears that this Dygert was on the press the moment the blue ink ran out, and only the flesh tone pink remained. Has anyone seen another like this? Is this a pink background portrait, or a half & half? I'm new HERE so any opinions would be appreciated. |

I have a card just like this with the 'REL' written on front. It was soaked out of a scrapbook and probably whatever they used either to get it out or to originally put it in,took the color out of the photo and left it a pinkish color. |

several months ago, someone sold a bunch of cards similar to this on ebay. Most of them had writing on the front as well. I agree that the loss of color was due to whatever they used to remove it from the album. I suspect your card came from this group. It isn't a legitimate printing error. |

Why did the "soaking" not affect the head on this card? Is the blue ink susceptible to solvents and easy to remove? The back shows no signs of uneven coloration either. This card did come from that group I think from Minnesota? |
