Default GIA logo/slabs authenticity

Hi, just wondering if any of you more experienced collectors may know something about this. Has the GIA globe on their logo ever contained 8 cross sections like the one in this eBay listing. I’m asking because I recently bought a card from this seller and the slab was identical to this and when I took the slab out of the team bag, the slab literally just popped right open and fell apart. A few weeks later I saw an article about a guy that had bought a t206 Cobb that was encapsulated in a slab identical to this that did the same thing when he sent it in to be graded. The logo was the same, with the 8 globe cross sections instead of the normal 6. Card turned out to be authentic according to the grading company he sent it to so it had appeared to only be the slab that was counterfeit and like this guy, the card I received, as far as I could tell looks to be authentic. I can’t find any signs of it being counterfeit. I’m just curious is anyone has ever remembered GIA to contain a logo with the globe containing 8 cross sections in it as I know they have changed their logo a few times or are these slabs being produced to give the card a higher grade?
