Default Antique Weldless Catchers Mask, circa 1880s. Great condition!

The current Love of the Game Auction (LOTG) is offering a rare and very early Catchers Mask example from the late 1880s. 19th Century Masks are tough to find in any condition, but this one is a true beauty.

All of the original rose-colored leather pads remain firmly in tact and undamaged. The forehead strap and head strap both remain firmly attached. The cage retains its original form, constructed with only clips and bent wire… no welds like later “turn of the century” masks.

A rare survivor and great display piece that would compliment any 19th Century or Antique Baseball collection. Auction ends on Saturday 4/2… the link is below:
