Blue-ifying the 1966 Topps
One thing I find odd about the 1966 Topps set is the decision to replace the natural color of some background areas in certain cards with blue tint. I guess maybe the photographer wanted to mute what were perceived as possible distractions and/or give some sort of 3-D effect to the subject, but I don't recall seeing this much if at all in other sets--maybe others here can post examples. There are many of these throughout the set, although here is the most obvious or extreme example--Eddie Stanky (not mine)
The others allow for some "normal" background before tinting out parts:

Maybe this has been covered elsewhere. Anyone have examples from other years?
