Legendary Auctions
Their shipping charges are the worst in the industry.
Last year I won a 20k card in one of their auctions and the shipping was $90. At the time I thought it was kinda high but paid without issue. In their most recent auction I won the E107 Joss for $8500, I expected the 19.5% buyer's premium, but then they tagged me with another $102.29 for shipping, handling, and insurance. It comes out to another 1.2%. I inquired why the shipping charges more than doubled from last year and are so pricey. Their shipping manager stated it was a management decision. He said they now charge $.80 per $100 for insurance. That is very expensive, and then tack on more fees/costs. Folks may want to consider factoring this into their bidding looking forward. Knowing that bidders will need to factor this into their bidding, I'd seriously consider other auction houses for listing my cards since you won't get top dollar, in my opinion. Cory Weiser
