Default 1920 Yankees Pennant ; what is it worth??
See attached picture, all black yellow letters, with a rainbow shape with 1920 in black on gold.

That is definitely a NY Giants pennant, the team colors were black and gold.

I don't think it is the Giants, they didn't use the Orange and black scheme until the early 1930's. In 1920 they used red and blue I believe (all my books are packed up awaiting the movers). But of course you can't always go by colors when it comes to judging pennents, I had a 1940's Jersey City Giants pennant that is yellow and black, as far from their real red, white and blue colors as you can get.

The "NY" is similarly ornate like the Giants but markedly different, this one is overall square while the Giants "Y" on the their "NY" extended below the "N" like the current Mets logo.

My gut tells me it is a generic souvenir pennant commemorating the city or state. Very classy looking pennant.

I agree with Gary.

The tassles and the design indicate that it was a New York City Pennant to commemorate that you had been to the City itself and not for a Baseball team.

I wouldn't think so. Probably just one generic NYC pennant. The other boroughs weren't very developed in 1920. Robert Moses hadn't built the subway system yet.

It's not baseball related so the value is pretty minimal IMO..$50 or less.

The IRT subway opened in 1904.
Robert Moses had nothing to do with the subway.
(And if I were you, I wouldn't be tellin' Brooklynites that their borough (formally an independent city) wasn't "very developed" in 1920.)

My apologies. Robert Moses didn't build the subways but he made it possible for people to travel in and around NYC like never before.

My comment wasn't directed at Brooklyn but you are free to take offense to whatever you would like to.

I'm from the Bronx. I couldn't care less about Brooklyn. But it's one of the "other boroughs."
Robert Moses made it possible for people with cars--and only people with cars--to travel around New York. That's why he built Parkways--no trucks or buses allowed. And he made sure that no NYC scum would be able to take buses out to the LI beaches by making the Parkway overpasses too low for a bus to get under. Robert's motto? "If you don't own a car, well then, screw you."

I'm not saying Moses was an angel but he was a forward thinking man. During the WPA projects he was one of a few city planners to fit African Americans into his plans.

Is this type of activity grouds for banning?
I mean he was educated very quickly by knowledgeable board members. He then chose to write an ad which is cleary and intentionally misleading.
I don't think it's unreasonable in this type of situation.

Yeah, I guess it's grounds. Scammers and people playing ignorant just suck, in general. But, I didn't ban Frank yesterday when I got the Cease and Desist. Also, if this guy wanted to come back and try to defend himself he couldn't. I prefer not to ban folks, in general. Maybe a poll is in order?

+1..... I'm new here, but for what it's worth, the guy is a double douche! He is exactly what our hobby does not need because one of the good guys is gonna get f@cked on this. One thing is ignorance, but this is clearly deliberate. Guillotine baby!!!
