Default Help me understand this one.. PSA consecutive cert #s.. Same card? PWCC History

I was looking to buy a 52 Topps Mays PSA 4 and possibly found one on Facebook. Cert # 51599974. Then I noticed a listing on ebay yesterday, 52 Mays PSA 4 - cert # 51599971. The 2 cards look identical. Then I went on PSA website and looked up the #s in between. They are all 52 Topps Mays PSA 4 and they are look extremely similar. They all have PWCC history too…

https://www.psacard.com/cert/51599974

https://www.psacard.com/cert/51599973

https://www.psacard.com/cert/51599972

https://www.psacard.com/cert/51599971

Maybe this is normal.. maybe there’s a reason.. Just seeing if this has popped up before.

It's unusual, but not impossible. I suspect a major collector/dealer submitted a large order with multiple copies of the same card, likely obtained from the same source. They would naturally be graded sequentially. There is enough difference in the left-right centering to say they're all unique cards (though I agree they are remarkably similar)

Valid point. Trust and PWCC don't often appear in the same sentence.

They look identical, but they are not.. looks like someone either put 4 nice copies from the same print run in together or someone put 4 fakes in

Just four different authentic NM cards all with bad centering submitted in a row, IMO. It's only luck that PSA gave them each PSA 4s.

Thanks everyone. Just thought it was strange. One of the 4 is clearly different. The others are super close but I suppose there could be some slight variation there.

I've found runs of 20 or more cards on occasion. same card different grades though most were the same... I was thinking subs from a vending box/case.
