Hi everyone, I had to cancel two Ebay listings. a Dazzy Vance strip card and a Zach Wheat strip card. They were stolen earlier today. This is the first time I've ever had to cancel any listings and I was just wondering, does that hurt a sellers reputation?. I only have 20 feedbacks (100%). And I would like to sell more cards. Thanks. |

Sorry to hear your cards were stolen. I wouldn't worry about it hurting your reputation. It's your auction do what you want. Unless it's almost every auction you put up your cancelling it shouldn't be a problem. |

300+ positive and 1 negative and you lost trust, thats quite a shame. I think you can have that 1 negative retracted if you play your cards right with ebay customer support. Ebay has 'live help' chat for a quick human response. Give that a shot. |

Negs; You need the other party to agree on FB withdrawal. If the other is just a buyer he couldn't care less if he's below perfect. There are rare instances when it can be removed unilaterally, but it's easier to plan a BBQ on the White House lawn. Can't recall receiving any substantial advice from the "Have a Nice eBay Day sir" cult, but they are upbeat and pleasant. |

did you cancel the listings before they closed or did you "sell" the items and then discover the loss and are now seeking to cancel the sale? The former should not be an issue w/r/t feedback because there was no other person involved. If the latter, explain it to your buyer(s) and if they are reasonable people, there should be no issue. Happened to me both as buyer and seller. |

99.9 percent of eBay bidders are reasonable people, and if you had to cancel your auctions for a reasonable reason they will understand. If you were to contact the bidders and tell them your explanation, more than likely all the bidders will understand. |

Cards recovered! Lets just say this fellow won't be attending my BBQ on the Whitehouse lawn. I ended the listings before the auctions were over. Should I start another now? or should I give it some time? |

you should restart, and take a few minutes to email the bidders what had occured....explaining why you are restarting the auctions. |
