What happened during the printing process to cause some of the examples of this card--but not others--to display what might be termed a "white rod" exiting from the Babe's left thigh? Something on the plate, which was subsequently removed? Or defective plate in this respect, and another subsequently made to correct the flaw?
Just curious if there are any answers out there about something I've always wondered about, Larry |
