Today is the 75th anniversary of Bob Feller's Opening Day no-hitter
I couldn't let today pass without reminding everyone that today marks the 75th anniversary of Bob Feller's Opening Day no-hitter against the Chicago White Sox.
It's amazing that this feat hasn't been duplicated in 75 years. Pitchers typically have the upper hand early in the year when the weather hasn't warmed up yet. You would think that sooner or later it will happen because there have been several near misses... Although many assumed that this was Rapid Robert's best no-hitter, he was always quick to remind people that his 2nd no-hitter against the NYY was absolutely his best pitched game because of the strength of the Yankees lineup. Anyway, here is a toast to Mr. Feller's unique no-hitter. RIP Mr. Feller.  Show me your collectibles that relate to Bob Feller, and especially his OD no-hitter!
