I noticed when I got this card back from grading that it's narrow by quite a bit. It initially bugged me since they rejected one that was short by less.
But I started thinking that it actualy was very narrow, nearly American Beauty narrow. And during a recent AB discussion it was mentioned that a few of them are actually normal width. I finally got a chance to make a couple comparisons, and this one really is that narrow. Same width as the AB T205 I have, and nearly as narrow as one of the T206 ABs. Does anyone else have some extra narrow T206s that aren't AB? While the quality control on sizing wasn't great, this does make me wonder about a few things. Are the cards in the packs always the same back as the pack brand? Sometimes I think it makes little sense to advertise a brand someone is already buying. Any chance that American beauty could have had narrow cards of other brands either just before they got their own cards, or between T206 and T205? Using up leftover cards in other brands at the end of a print run makes some sense to me. Steve B |
