The post about the Bob Unglaub got me thinking about other "unique" poses in T206. Here are the ones I found:
Al Burch (batting) & Joe Lake (NY) – Only cards with Statue of Liberty in background (not unique, but noteworthy) Hal Chase – Only player holding an award or trophy Joe Doyle (NY) – Only off-center caption Joe Dunn- Only “diagonal” pose ![]() Ed Konetchy (fielding) – Only card with a base visible John Titus – Only facial hair Bob Unglaub – Only lace-up uniform Edited to add one more I just found: Tom Needham - Only catcher wearing a chest protector, but not a facemask Are there any others that could be considered "unique"? I recently picked up the Mike Donlin seated T206 because I hadn't noticed another T206 with the player in a "seated" pose.......are there any other T206's with the player "seated"?
If not,I'd say that's sort of unique. Clayton |

...Is an example. Also, Lake and Burch have what are probably church steeples in the background, not Statues of Liberty.

Joe Kelley & Matty McIntyre are the only players in the set with definitive male pattern baldness. Come on guys, just shave the damn thing!

Burns noted above:
This one, I feel is the strangest. Either an artist error, a joke, or dude was so poor...? Someone before added that maybe he lost his original glove in a bet. There are a few more very "unique" subjects that I know of. But I haven't yet acquired all of them so... Last edited by green rhino123; 05-04-2010 at 09:16 AM. |

Spike Shannon is the only player in the set who apparently had the exact same bodily proportions as Mr. Potato Head.

Anthony,
Spike doesn't look like the kind of guy that would have taken that "Mr. Potato Head" reference lightly. When time travel is invented, I don't think one of those bump proof locks will save you. Lovely Day... |

OMG! He ACTUALLY looked like that? I thought it was just a poor artist's representation. Makes me feel bad for always hating that card because it was so ugly. Sorry Spike!

![]() Well, he was "Sleepy" Bill Burns. Maybe he was still half-asleep when he pulled out the glove and didn't quite know what he was doing ![]() Steve |

Is the Wilhelm the only picture of a player fixin' to pitch/play w/out a glove OR a ball?

I think they should have made a batting pose of Spike Shannon. That photo would have made an incredible T206 pose!

Is Ball in a "ready to play pose" like Wilhelm? Anyone got a scan of Ball to show??

Neal Ball looks like he might be holding a baseball... Kaiser Wilhelm is cracking his knuckles before a brawl...

Pelty horizontal is the only one that shows a close encounter of the third kind. Barney shows his two-seam fastball grip to ET.
