Offered for sale is a signed book by Walter T. Avery, one of the original New York Knickerbockers of 1845 and a participant in the first Baseball Game at the Elysian Fields in Hoboken NJ. Beautiful signature inside of an antique book from his home in NY and could be cross referenced with the ledger sold in the last REA auction for authenticity. He died in 1905 and his autograph was unknown in the hobby until recently. A true Pioneer of the game. |
