That final price surprised me - I was thinking it would end closer to $100K.

Does anyone else think that card went really high?

The M-101 and the 1914 Baltimore News Ruths are the most significant cards in the hobby, IMHO. Both the former in higher grade and the latter in anything with good eye appeal will be million-dollar cards within the next two decades, probably quite a bit sooner for the latter, based on its rarity. Remember the near $200,000 T210 Jackson? Quality baseball Americana will only be increasing in value over the long haul, although there may be a few bumps in the road along the way.

May your collecting put large smiles on your faces, and/or big bucks in your pocket, if your inclinations run towards the latter,

Larry
